Paradox, that is the guiding principle, or seems to be. So many things are not as they seem. For example, many of us think that on a cloudless day in the winter it will relatively pleasant, but really the clouds hold the heat close to the earth.

Another paradox: The worse and most dangerous place for an airplane is where? Near the ground. Much safer at altitude.

Another: It seems that being out in the open ocean in a boat most dangerous, but really if you are going to shipwreck, it will more than likely be close or at the shore.

Just something to think about. There are many, many paradoxes, so many that I have concluded that we should expect the paradoxical. But then is still a paradox if we expect it?
